![]() ![]() It did work but it was a massive pain and it meant that for each character in my game, I had to use multiple models, instead of just one. My final workaround was to clone the same model several times and change the UV map of each one so that each part had a different single texture slot. This is one thing that frustrates me with 3D models. There doesn't seem to be a simple all-in-one solution yet. You can combine the textures into one UV map but (for me) they ended up being low-resolution (maybe I did it wrong?). I've had success in getting stubborn animations to work in coppercube by first importing to Ultimate Unwrap 3D and then saving as either FBX or directX - better than Blender but still hit and miss - especially with the multtiple texture slots not appearing in Coppercube. Someone also recommended fragmotion - but I had no success with animations. Blender2.8/2.9 have an export plugin but it's pretty useless for Coppercube - nothing I exported with the plugin ever worked in 2.8. Blender 2.79 does work in some cases (but not all) when exported as FBX and DirectX - very hit and miss I found. don't we have any easy texture combiner like this ? ım also waiting this software to use it. dont we have any easy texture combiner like this ? I literally dont have any experience with blender.ĭont we have a easier way to add 8 texture files to 1 animated model ? From there you can check & fix materials and textures, be sure to assign materials to both data & objects in the material window if you're still experiencing export has a good solution also but if your textures are in high resolution (1024/2048) combining them into an atlas map/single texture will probably lower the resolution unless you're packing them into 4096x4096 images or higher. ![]() Just export your model to FBX from Blender 2.9 & import FBX to Blender 2.79a. and check out this video and you can pack (bake) all of the texture into 1 in blender and then can use that in coppercube.īlender 2.79a is I think best for usage with CC, it has all export formats that CC supports except for B3D, I can upload that addon if you think you need it. I have 2.9 version of blender should ı download older version ? If everything looks good in Workbench and you still can't export functional FBX to CC then try importing that FBX to older Blender and export to formats like X, MS3D, B3D, or FBX 6.1 ASCII. ![]() There's actually no need to use Eevee or Cycles because it's not compatible with CC anyway:) If you're using Blenders 2.8x switch renderer from Eevee/Cycles to Workbench to see if all materials & textures are correctly assigned. besides how do you pack textures in blenderĭid you solve the problem ? I also need this answer too. besides which format do you use that works out I mean for animated meshĮm. This fix works for static imports but unsure about animated imports whether works or not.Īlso you mention that you already have the file in Blender.? - well try a different format is my recommendation like '.X' or '.ms3d' - both plugins can be loaded into Blender. The other slots will then show up if you have multiple textures to apply. ![]() Just have it load into Blender first then export as different file format (sometimes same format is fine too). This is a common problem for FBX imports into CC. Third method is by using the uv tools from the polygon editing in coppercube for that you have to select the triangles/polygons on which you want the other texture then you can simply double click the desired texture and it will be applied to that.įor example if your character has a different texture for the shirt then select the polygons or faces of the shirt portion of the model using the triangle selecting tool and select the desired texture for the shirt. If not then you can pack all of your texture into one using blender or any other texture packer. In some cases irredit/irrlicht tools shows material tab as 1/2/3/4 you can check if it is showing that. I tried the animated mesh import for my character and I get only one texture slot whereas I used more than one texture, how do I get more than one texture slot for an animated mesh imported in fbx format, its not the same texture transfer from blender to unity as i'm only an expert in unity not coppercube Ambiera Forum > CopperCube > CopperCube Open discussion ![]()
